A survey, from the makers of Hidden Valley® Salad Dressings, looked at vegetable consumption among children, 45% of the kids said they aren’t eating their vegetables daily.
Their parents weren’t surprised. Hmm, why not? I think the generation that needs help in learning about vegetables is ours, because if we knew, our kids would be eating them. Now as a society we have to catch up with our nutritional needs and teach parents to teach their kids how to eat well. Here is what I found to be the most interesting part of the study: Having kids help in the kitchen -- 77 percent of parents surveyed say their children help with preparing dishes involving veggies -- seemingly leading to kids eating more veggies. Parents whose children have helped them cook vegetables may worry less about their kids' vegetable consumption than parents whose children have not helped them cook vegetables.
